educated in Pforzheim, Germany. (Incidentally also the birthplace
of Lore Perls.) I immigrated to the United States in 1951, married
in 1954 and had four children with my husband Richard. In 1966,
I began studies at the University of Rhode Island and graduated
in English Literature, Psychology and Education. |

After
a brief teaching experience, I entered Graduate school in Counseling Psychology,
earned an M.A. and continued studies for C.A.G.S. in Mental Health soon after.
As a psychotherapist, I had found my theoretical niche and passion for becoming
a life-long student and practitioner of Gestalt Therapy. For more than 25
years I have worked in my private practice specializing in working with couples
and families, addictions, trauma, and general mental Health problems. My
work naturally led me to the study and certification of EMDR for the treatment
of Post Traumatic Stress and Addiction Disorders.
I continue to explore new and better ways to expand my services. In that spirit I pursued and have added Life Coaching to my professional repertoire. I am a ICF certified Professional Coach (PCC). For more information, please visit www.Coachfederation.org.
I still provide services and programs as Gestalt therapist through the Gestalt Institute. As a Life Coach, I continue to design and implement programs, give in-person training, teleclasses with specific focus on the Addiction-recovered population to assist them reach their full potential. I also provide coaching groups, and coaching for individuals and couples.65

On the personal side, I
am lucky to have a full, rich life. I am still married, still learning to
live what I practice. I am blessed with eleven grandchildren who enrich my
life and whom I love dearly. For hobbies, I enjoy gardening, sewing, knitting,
cooking, reading, classical music and opera, ballet and theater, traveling,
hiking and anything new and curious that may come my way.
