Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt Therapy is a holistic growth model supporting development of a healthy self-body-mind-spirit, experiencing satisfying relationship in the context of the environment: familial, cultural, religious, and age appropriate in the ongoing present. As such, Gestalt therapy has a relational focus of interdependence and interrelatedness. As a Gestalt therapist I form a very close "I-Thou" relationship with you that is safe, non-judgmental, and respectful. In this therapeutic process I assist you - individuals, couples, and groups, to become self-aware, of how you live your day-to-day experiences in communion with others. I may use subtle, at times powerful experiments to create possibilities for growth.

Gestalt’s theory of change supports this therapeutic process, constantly reminding therapists and clients that change happens “when you become who you truly are not when you try to be who you are not” (A. Beisser, M.D).

In my experience, some people amazingly just know what to do and know instinctively what works or doesn’t work; others are less fortunate. Whether you are an individual in need, a Professional - Gestalt therapist, Family therapist, Coach or Addiction specialist I assist you in discovering who you really are and what it is you want in exchange for living your life based on others’ wants of what you should be.
